Miami premier, Ivy League Rumba (PBS) documentary, next Thursday, October 13, at Actor's Playhouse Miracle Theater, Coral Gables.7:00 pm
Ivy League Rumba, a PBS documentary by Joe Cardona, Ralf Gonzalez and Richard Snyder is finally out. The film is about the past Latin Jazz and Pop Festival at Brown University. It features performances and interviews to great musicians like PALO! Pedrito Martinez Group

There will be a free screening at Actor's Playhouse Miracle Theater, Coral Gables, this comingThursday, October 13, 7:00 pm.
The film premiered recently in Providence, RI as part of the Providence Latin American Film Festival (PLAFF) and in Miami October 13th. Ivy League Rumba is being broadcast nationally in early October by PBS stations across the country as part of Hispanic Heritage month.

"Ivy League Rumba." Forthcoming PBS Documentary. Brown University Latin Jazz and Pop Festival.
Glad to be part of this forthcoming PBS documentary called "Ivy League Rumba," by Miami-based filmmakers Joe Cardona and Ralph Gonzalez.
The film features stunning musical performances from last Fall's Brown University Latin Jazz and Pop Festival, plus lots more. I had the pleasure to participate in that event at a panel about Cuban music together with Ned Sublette, Martin Cohen and Arturo Gomez.
The film's premier is expected by the end of March.
